In-home photoshoot

Key words to remember for your wardrobe are:

comfort and cohesion.

Comfort is key as you will be sitting, standing and maybe even lying down during the session.

Choose outfits that compliment each other but don’t “match”.

Choose muted or jewel tones, and avoid very vibrant and very dark colours as these can be reflected onto your face.

If choosing something patterned, opt for a large pattern avoiding small, fussy patterns.

Top Tip

Dress Mam first. Make sure you are comfortable and confident in your outfit, you can then choose complimentary outfits for the rest of the family based on your choice.

My personal preference:

Choose neutral colours as a base for all outfits and add in an accent colour, like a jade green or a deep copper.

Natural fibres photograph beautifully, like linen, cotton and wool.

Avoid anything that is stiff or starchy as they will wrinkle and need a lot of adjusting throughout.

Don’t forget your feet! Choose footwear that suits your outfits, or go barefoot!
